Our teacher training centre had the privilege to receive a group of experts on ICT from many european countries last week.
They came on a study visit, called "LOG ON 2 EDUCATION- Improving methodology and teaching techniques through ICT", one of the five study visits that Andalucía has organised from september, 2009 to june, 2010, through the Spanish Organisation for European Programmes (OAPEE)
The transversal study visits are part of the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP), a European funding programme which supports education and training across Europe.
They came from Berlin, Bernried and Neuss (Germany), Caserta and Roma (Italy), Stockton-on-Tees and Hartlepool (United Kingdom), Lodz and Zielona Góra (Poland), Blagoevgrad (Bulgary), Ankara (Turkey), Jablonec nad Nisou (Czech Republic), Érd (Hungary), Nakkila (Finland) and Hunedoara (Romania). They had known previously thanks to the social network we created for this study visit as we did also for study visit 2009.
This study visit has given them the chance to know our educational system, the use of ICT in andalusian education as well as, for all of us, to exchange expertise in education with other European colleagues.
The programme of this study visit not only included presentations from some of my colleagues at CEP about ICT in Andalucía and participants' presentations about their schools and the use of new technologies in education, but also an intensive cultural and fun programme in the afternoons. So, we hope all of them have enjoyed their stay in our city, Córdoba in may.
Some of the places we visited and things we did:
- CEP de Córdoba
- Tendillas square (virtual tour)
- Crosses festival
- El Globo Restaurant
- Judería (Jewish quarter).
- Eating and drinking in Córdoba (tapas, food, wine). Tasting traditional dishes.
- The Mosque (virtual tour)
- The Castle of the Christian Monarchs
- The courtyards festival of Córdoba
- Ángel de Saavedra High school
- Averroes Primary School
- Gran Capitán High school
- Wine tasting.
And now, something they enjoyed a lot: Here you are an easy recipe for SALMOREJO
I have to say I have particularly enjoyed their company, our conversations at meals, the interesting presentations they made, the exchange of experiences, etc... I think all of them are good professionals and the CEP of Córdoba wishes they have good luck...now and ever...
Hope we see again here or in your countries. (I promise we will pay you a visit, Giusi. Roma is always worth seeing twice...)
Some photos of their visit to Córdoba. I would love it if you left a comment too:
If you have written about this study visit in any web site, blog, etc..., send me the link, please.
