Art and Culture in English speaking countries: Their term Projects

The topics that you have selected to research about in this last term are:

• The Hispanic world
• Inventions and discoveries

• Romantic writers

• Fast food restaurant chains
• The Scouts 
• The Roman world. 

In order to reflect and share your points of view about the cultural facts that have been discussed in your projects, this Padlet collaborative board is available to do it.

You will write about what you have learnt while listening to your partners´projects as well as about the similarities and differences you find with our own culture or other cultures you know. 

The objective of this collaborative board is promoting cultural awareness among students and arising respect and understanding of how a person's culture may inform their values, behaviour, beliefs and basic assumptions.

Projects presentation: Art and culture in English speaking countries

During the last weeks before Easter holidays, the students of "Proyecto integrado" in 4th ESO, gave their oral expositions on their projects.

Students themselves published their presentations in the blogs for this subject. 

Those projects elaborated by students in the group 4th B this second term can be seen HERE.

They have used different ICT tools as Prezi, Google presentations, Scratch, Genial.ly, Slides to do them.

This term we have used co-evaluation questionnaires as well as a collaborative board in Padlet. 

This PADLET board have allowed students to foster their cultural awareness and to arise respect and understanding of how a person's culture may inform their values, behaviour, beliefs and basic assumptions.

Presentation of Projects: "ART AND CULTURE IN ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES"

During the last weeks before Christmas holidays, the students of "Proyecto integrado" in 4th ESO, gave their oral expositions on their projects.

OUR Project WIKI 

Wiki del proyecto "Art and Culture in English speaking countries"

Como herramienta online para proporcionar al alumnado indicaciones y recursos para el desarrollo de sus proyectos así como para que los grupos puedan compartir su producto final y trabajar colaborativamente, hemos creado una WIKI.

Ésta será de gran utilidad dentro de la programación de actuaciones en el Proyecto "Art and Culture in English speaking countries", proyecto integrado dirigido al alumnado de los grupos bilingües de 4º de ESO en el IES Ángel de Saavedra.

Para finales de noviembre, los grupos habrán elaborado su proyecto final de este primer trimestre y comenzarán sus presentaciones orales en clase del tema sobre el que han realizado su trabajo de investigación.

Proyecto integrado en Inglés: "Arte y Culturas de los países de habla inglesa"

Durante este curso, y junto a mi compañera Mª Luisa Prieto, coordino e imparto la asignatura de Proyecto Integrado en Inglés para alumnado de 4º de la ESO de nuestro centro, el IES Ángel de Saavedra. 

Se trata de un Proyecto de Investigación, Selección y Organización de la Información para la realización y exposición de trabajos en inglés, con apoyo de las TICs, sobre el ARTE Y LAS CULTURAS DE LOS PAÍSES DE HABLA INGLESA.

Partiendo de una idea original del profesor Antonio Roldán, este proyecto pretende que el alumnado conozca las distintas representaciones artísticas y las culturas de los países de habla inglesa a través de la historia. Igualmente pretendemos que este proyecto contribuya al desarrollo de las cinco destrezas que conforman la competencia comunicativa: comprensión lectora, producción escrita, comprensión oral, producción e interacción oral. 
En el desarrollo del proyecto, se fomentará el uso de estrategias y habilidades propias del aprendizaje colaborativo y del trabajo por proyectos, teniendo un papel importante en todo el proceso las herramientas de la web 2.0 (entre ellas Google docs, Wiki, Blog del grupo, Google maps).

Desde aquí, ofrecemos a todo el profesorado, independientemente del área que imparta y/o nivel, la posibilidad de desarrollar nuestro proyecto con su alumnado, modificándolo y adaptándolo a las características del mismo. 

Si os animáis a estar en contacto con nosotras y compartir todo proceso desde el inicio, nuevas propuestas que enriquezcan el mismo, así como los productos finales de vuestro alumnado, sumando esfuerzos, competencias y habilidades para conseguir juntos un propósito común, haremos de éste un proyecto colaborativo en red.
